This was the third meeting of the UCISA London Group following two earlier events, 7th April and 14th June. Adopting a New Style of Project Management and Initiation
Introduction
If you search for “Why do projects fail?” you will find all sorts of reasons for their demise but running throughout the results is a ‘lack of communication’, a ‘lack of detailed planning’ and ‘scope creep’. Each of these has the ability to bring any project to the point of failure in a very short space of time. To combat this Havering Sixth Form College (HSFC) has altered its project management process in an effort to prevent this.

Event Report: UCISA London Group meeting on 18th October 2017
Overview
This was the fifth meeting of the UCISA London Group. The event was hosted by WMC – The Camden College and it followed the usual format, opening with registration and a networking lunch followed by 4 agenda sessions comprising 3 presentations and one facilitated discussion session with an additional networking break halfway through the presentation sessions. The meeting was well attended by representatives of member institutions, HE & FE, members of the LMN Board, Jisc representatives and representatives from University of London’s CoSector who were sponsors for the day.
